Alan A. Adler, M.D., FACOG

Dr. Alan Adler is currently an Associate Professor in the Obstetrics & Gynecology Department at Mount Sinai Medical Center.  He is a fellow of the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology.   Dr. Adler is the founding member of New York Obstetrics & Gynecology, P.C. and has been in private practice since 1993.

Dr. Adler received his undergraduate degree Magna Cum Laude from New York University, and was inducted into the national honor society Phi Beta Kappa.  Dr. Adler received his medical degree from New York University Medical School where he was inducted into the national medical honor society Alpha Omega Alpha, and graduated as Valedictorian of his class.  He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Mount Sinai Medical Center.

 

Howard H. Kurtz, M.D., FACOG

Dr. Howard Kurtz is currently an assistant clinical professor in the Obstetrics & Gynecology Department at Mount Sinai Medical Center and has been in private practice since 1999.  He is a fellow of the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology.

Dr. Kurtz received his undergraduate degree Magna Cum Laude from New York University and was inducted into the national honor society Phi Beta Kappa.  Dr. Kurtz received his medical degree from New York Medical College where he was inducted into the national medical honor society Alpha Omega Alpha.  Dr. Kurtz completed his residency in Obstetrics & Gynecology at NYU Medical Hospital Downtown.

 

Rachel L. Kassenoff, M.D., FACOG

Dr. Rachel L. Kassenoff is currently an assistant clinical professor in the Obstetrics & Gynecology Department at Mount Sinai Medical Center and has been in private practice since 2004.  She is a fellow of the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology.

Dr. Kassenoff received her undergraduate degree from Washington University in St. Louis with a combined degree in Psychology and Biology.  She earned her medical degree and graduated Summa Cum Laude from State University of New York at Brooklyn and was inducted into the national honor society Alpha Omega Alpha.  Dr. Kassenoff completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Mount Sinai Medical Center where she was a chief resident.

 

Anupama Shah, M.D., FACOG

Dr. Anupama Shah is currently an Assistant Clinical Professor in the Obstetrics & Gynecology Department at Mount Sinai Medical Center. She previously served as Assistant Clinical Professor at NYU School of Medicine. She was a member of Lexington Ob-Gyn prior to joining our practice.

Dr. Shah received her undergraduate degree Cum Laude with departmental honors, earning her B.A. in Anthropology, from the University of Pennsylvania. She received her medical degree from the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine. Dr. Shah completed her residency training at Long Island Jewish Medical Center, where she received multiple teaching awards. She became board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology in 2009. She is a fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology and a diplomat of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

 

Carol Rodriguez, M.D., FACOG

Dr. Carol Rodriguez is currently a clinical instructor in the Obstetrics & Gynecology Department at Mount Sinai Medical Center. She is a fellow of the American Board of Obstetrics & Gynecology. Dr. Rodriguez has special interest in robotic and minimally invasive surgeries, obstetrics, family planning, medical education and reducing primary cesarean section rates. Previously, Dr. Rodriguez was the Medical Director of Women’s Health and a physician in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Rochester Regional Health, and also served as a physician in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the Anthony L. Jordan Health Center in Rochester, NY. Additionally, she held an adjunct clinical assistant professor appointment in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Erie, PA.

 

Dr. Rodriguez received her medical degree from University of Illinois at Chicago. While earning her degree, she participated in the Patient Centered Medicine Scholars Program. Additionally, she was selected to perform research in the Department of Cancer Survivorship at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Memphis, TN. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Detroit Medical Center/Wayne State University. Dr. Rodriguez was recognized by her residency faculty for excellence in gynecology at graduation. She graduated from Florida International University with a major in Psychology. She has actively engaged in health equity leadership initiatives including Pursuing Equity: GME and Social Determinants of Health.

 

Martha Harrison, M.D.

Dr. Martha Harrison is currently a clinical instructor in the Obstetrics & Gynecology Department at Mount Sinai Medical Center. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology with Allegheny Health Network. During her residency, she was recognized with the Society of Laparoscopic Surgeons Resident Achievement Award as well as the Ryan Program Award for Excellence in Family Planning. She received her medical degree from the New York University School of Medicine.

Dr. Harrison’s research has focused on topics including the association between CHC use and thromboembolic complications of COVID-19 in reproductive age women and demographic trends in women seeking abortions in Pittsburgh following the passage of Ohio law banning abortion after detection of a fetal heartbeat. Dr. Harrison is a member of the Society of Laparoscopic and Robotic Surgeons, the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists, and the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

 

Hayley Scholl, M.D.

Dr. Hayley Scholl is currently a clinical instructor in the Obstetrics & Gynecology Department at Mount Sinai Medical Center. She completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, Georgia. During her residency, Dr. Scholl was chosen by her faculty and peers to serve as Chief Resident. She also served on the Memorial Health Wellness Committee, where she helped identify and address resident concerns. Additionally, she was a Resident Lecturer within the South University Physician Assistant Program, lecturing on topics in women’s health to physician assistant students, and also served as the Research Lead for the Program Improvement Project for the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology.

In June 2021, Dr. Scholl was recognized with the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists Award for Excellence in Minimally Invasive Gynecology. She was recognized by the faculty for excellence in gynecology upon graduation from residency. Dr. Scholl is a member of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She earned her medical degree from the University of Louisville School of Medicine in Louisville, Kentucky.

 

Yaniv Brailovschi, M.D.

Dr. Yaniv Brailovschi is currently a clinical instructor in the Obstetrics & Gynecology Department at Mount Sinai Medical Center. He graduated summa cum laude from the Ben-Gurion University of the Negev School of Medicine in Beer Sheva, Israel. He came to Mount Sinai from Lenox Hill Hospital following a residency in obstetrics and gynecology, where he served as Administrative Chief Resident. Prior to Lenox Hill, he completed a residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Sheba Medical Center, one of the top ten hospitals worldwide.

Dr. Brailovschi recently has been published for his research on the role of fetal echocardiogram after detection of extracardiac anomalies in utero, as well as the assessment of fear in adult patients undergoing elective urogynecologic and gynecologic procedures and surgeries during the COVID-19 pandemic.
